We first met Helen and Colin when they called us to help find the source of a leak at their home. After investigating, we traced the leak back to the extension, so we got to work re-roofing this area.

During our initial visit, we also noticed that the cladding around the bay window had started to split. Rather than simply patching the damaged area, we had a custom run of cladding machined to match and neatly tie into the existing cladding.

While we were working on the extension roof, we took the opportunity to have a closer look at the condition of the remaining roof areas. The age and condition of the roofing, along with the audible “crunching” underfoot, indicated that the rest of the roof was also nearing the end of its life.

After discussing our findings with Helen and Colin, we agreed that the best approach would be to re-roof the remaining faces during the summer months. This meant we could properly address the condition of the roof and give them peace of mind for the years ahead.
